Viktor Orlov is a former Russian oligarch who has been living in Chelsea since running afoul of the Russian President. When he is assassinated, evidence points to a reporter and when she disappears, MI6 becomes certain of her guilt. Gabriel Allon, who owed his life to Orlov, is not as certain and wants to get true justice for Orlov's death, not just a scapegoat.
