According to the bio on her website: "DM Coffman specializes in clean fiction, tackling adult themes in an international plot of suspense, corruption and terrorism without the use of offensive language or graphic sex or violence. She is the author of The Net thriller novel series starting with The Net Conspiracy, The Hainan Conflict, and The Panama Contagion (to be released in 2020). She also wrote the Whitney Award nominated thriller The Hainan Incident published by Covenant Communications, Inc. which is an LDS version of the first two books in The Net series. In non-fiction, she authored Above the Best: The Remarkable Life of Seeley E. Ralphs which received a five-star review by Reader’s Favorite, and China Through the Eyes of Her Students providing a glimpse at life in China through the uncensored writing journals of her students at Peking University in Beijing and South China University of Technology in Guangzhou.

DM and her husband lived in the People’s Republic of China from 2000-2004 where they taught with the Brigham Young University China Teachers Program and the US-sponsored World Trade Organization China Judicial Training Program. She wrote A Peking University Coursebook on English Exposition Writing, published by Peking University Press, and served as an editor and foreign consultant for English educational texts produced by China’s Ministry of Education from 2004-2007. She has a M.Ed. from Brigham Young University and a B.B.A. from National University. Prior to living in China, DM and her husband worked in the legal profession in Washington, DC. They now reside in Spanish Fork, Utah."
