A Soviet satellite analyst, studying pictures from Central Africa, found the greatest of all mother lodes, an entire mountain made of gold. Wishing to capitalize on his discovery, he asked for help from Brunel, a wealthy landowner in the region of Tanzania near the hidden mountain. That was a mistake which would expand to ensnare a friend of Modesty Blaise. Her determination to stop Brunel and rescue her friend became an obsession when Willie is thrown from a plane at 3,000 feet without the use of a parachute.
